TV & Digital Changeover
We offer a complete digital installation and set-up service using "Free-View" equipment.
Analogue is the way that we have received television signals in New Zealand since television began. The old analogue television network was switched off and replaced with a digital signal by November 2013.
Now that your area has gone digital, you will need to get your television signal from either Freeview (free-to-air), or subscribe to SKY or TelstraClear (pay-TV). The same free-to-air stations that you watch at the moment will still be available on all digital TV.
You don’t need a new television to watch digital, but you will need some new equipment.
The cost of going digital will depend on your location and what equipment you need, but it’s best to talk to us about your options.
If you need a new aerial/dish as well as a set-top box, you may wish to have them professionally installed. Installation costs vary depending on the size of the house and the location of the aerial and number of TV points.
We recommend a satellite dish installation for all rural areas to guarantee reception as UHF reception is generally only available in Rotorua.
Home Entertainment Systems
We can carry out most home entertainment installations and are happy to give advice or carry out part of or the complete installation.
